Research Fellow, School of Management

We are looking for a post-doctoral researcher to join the SSHRC-funded Big Data Surveillance research team based at The School of Management at St Andrews University.  The successful candidate will have a research interest in surveillance as a contemporary socio-technical phenomenon and will have experience of conducting qualitative research in commercial settings. S/he will collaborate with the project grantholders on data analysis, report writing and dissemination of project findings.  



The post is available for one year from 1 February 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter. The post will be based in the Centre for Research into Information, Surveillance and Privacy (CRISP) at St Andrews University. CRISP is a joint research initiative between the Universities of St Andrews (www.st-andrews.ac.uk) and Stirling and Edinburgh (www.crisp-surveillance.com).  It provides an intellectually challenging and friendly, supportive environment for the conduct of high-quality research.

Salary: £32,004 - £34,956 per annum, Fixed Term: 12 months, Start: 1 February 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter.
