Surveillance in the Global South

Invitation to all researchers who work on surveillance in the global South to join the network “surveillance in the global South”. This network aims to expand the scope of surveillance studies to include non-Western discourses and practices. It also hopes to be a place for exchange, collaboration, and activism against undemocratic use of surveillance technologies.

The network will meet informally for the first time at the upcoming Surveillance Studies Network 9th biennial conference in 2020 and in Autumn 2020 the Political Geography Working Group at the University of Münster in Germany. The network then shall decide the future steps collectively.

This is an open call with a strong hope for intellectual collaboration. Please subscribe, comment and criticize.
